It all BEGAN when…

In the summer of 2009, Eddie Suliman became certified as a Wedding Planner and began actively volunteering within the industry to strengthen her knowledge base.

Mystical Weddings was launched in January of 2010 and it’s been a remarkable journey. On what drew her to this, Eddie says “I was always mesmerized with the whole aspect of weddings and how they came together. The more I volunteered, the more my name got out there and I felt completely in my element. I love the creative ability and to customize each client’s wedding… the magical moment when two lives become one is important to me and what drives me to do what I do.”

Expanding upon the success of Mystical Weddings, she launched Eddie Suliman Events in 2014, with a resume that includes two Mayoral campaigns, the annual Canada Day Together Festival, Taste of Cooksville Festival, Mississauga Arts Council’s annual Masquerade Ball amongst others. Eddie humbly says, “No event is too big for me… I’ll never become so successful that I won’t do the smaller events.”

To maintain her high quality of service, Eddie (smartly) doesn’t say yes to everything. She realizes what it takes to put on a remarkable event and if she’s spread too thin with multiple bookings, she knows the quality will suffer. This acclaimed entrepreneur wouldn’t change anything as she “believes everything happens for a reason” and offers this as advice to others: “volunteer experience is essential, especially when you’re breaking into any industry. Nobody is born knowing everything so create your own style and work hard. Know your worth and don’t feel bad about charging for your experience, time and efforts.”

Eddie is known and admired for her consistent presence with both her family and community and willingness to help others. She is indeed a strong success story and an inspiration to many.
